Ingredients
- Chicken 1 kg
- Sliced onions 50 g
- Chopped garlic 1 tbsp
- Chopped ginger 1 tbsp
- Green chilis 2 pods
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Chili powder 2 tbsp
- Roasted curry powder 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
- Pepper 1 tbsp
- Tamarinds 0.5 tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Pandan leaves
- Cinnamon
- Cardamom
- Cloves
- Salt
- Water
Steps
- Season the chicken with 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp roasted curry powder, turmeric powder, pepper, and salt, and keep it for about 20 minutes.
- Add oil to a pan on a high-heat stove.
- Add chopped garlic, onion, green chili, and ginger, and mix well.
- Then add curry leaves, pandan, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves, and let it fry.
- Add 1 tbsp chili powder and 1 roasted curry powder, and let it fry in oil.
- Add the seasoned chicken, and mix well.
- Pour the water and stir well.
- Add the tamarind and mix well.
- Close the pot with a lid and cook until it simmers for about 20 minutes.
- Open the lid and stir well.
- Close the lid, keep it for a while, and serve.
